No. 16 nationally-ranked Dayton women's basketball hosts the University of Indianapolis in an exhibition game Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at UD Arena. Fans will get their first look at the 2013-14 Flyer women's basketball squad in competition. Free video stream of the game is available on the A-10 Network with Shane White on the call.
Admission to the game is $5 for adults, $3 for children, and free to University of Dayton students and staff and to children ages 2 and under.
Season tickets are $30 and available for purchase by visiting the UD Ticket Office or calling (937) 229-4433, or online. It is also Military Appreciation game. Wright Patterson Air Force Base families will be recognized and if you wear a uniform, get free admission.

This August, UD women's basketball team took a 10-day tour to Italy with Basketball Travelers. The trip started in Rome with sightseeing at the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Vatican City, St. Peter's Basilica and Sistine Chapel. The Flyers spent time in Florence and Venice and also made stops in Lake Como and Verona. They outscored their three opponents 315-106 during the tour.

This is the first-ever meeting between the Flyers and Indianapolis.
SCOUTING INDIANAPOLIS
University of Indianapolis is an NCAA Division II school with an enrollment of 5,432 and they compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Greyhounds are coming off consecutive 19-win seasons (including 19-10 in 2012-13), and have reached the NCAA Division II Tournament five of the last six years. Indianapolis reached the Sweet 16 in 2009. The Greyhounds return 10 letter winners, including three starters. They did lose First Team All-GLVC selection Kristin Turner to graduation. She averaged 16.5 ppg and 4.8 apg.

The Flyers open the 2013-14 season on the road at the Hawkeye Challenge Nov. 9-10. UD plays UC Riverside first and then takes on Iowa. Dayton's first home game is Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. vs. Akron.
