CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's cross country team competed in the All-Ohio Championships Friday afternoon in Cedarville, Ohio and finished sixth overall of the Division I teams
Along with the Flyers, 46 other men's teams competed in the 8K race on Friday. Teams from all divisions ran at the same time, making it a packed course on the day.
The Flyers posted an average time of 26:47.31, which edged out Bowling Green and Wright State.
Individually, senior
Tyler Roeth led the way with a time of 26:11.44. That was good enough for 15
th overall. Freshman
Michael Tymoski (26:40.90) followed Roeth, as well as freshman Johnston Hunter (26:51.17) and freshman
Ethan Louis (27:00.40). All four of those runners finished in the top 30 spots. Junior Matt Fakler (27:12.62) and freshman
Kyle Lach (27:33.26) rounded out the day for Dayton, taking top 50 finishes.
The Flyers will return to action on Oct. 19 in Terre Haute, Ind. where they will race in the NCAA Pre-Nationals.
