NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced their end of the season wards for men's soccer and recognized seven University of Dayton student-athletes for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
Senior midfielder
Abe Keller received First Team All-Atlantic 10 and All-Academic honors. Junior forward
Greg Enstone was named to the Second Team All-Atlantic 10. Junior midfielder
Amass Amankona, redshirt-freshman midfielder
Rafael Gamboa, and freshman forward
James Haupt were named to the All-Rookie Team. Senior defenders
John Howe and
Jonathan Nelson joined Keller on the All-Academic team as well.
Saint Louis head coach Mike McGinty was named Coach of the Year while Billiken midfielder Alex Sweetin was name Midfielder of the Year and defender Anthony Manning was named Defensive Player of the Year. La Salle's Jason Plumhoff received Offensive Player of the Year honors and George Mason's Steffan Kraus received Rookie of the Year honors.
The A-10 Awards were announced Wednesday prior to the start of the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championships that will take place at Baujan Field in Dayton Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
