Final Results
MECHANICSVILLE, Va. – The University of Dayton men's cross country team finished ninth of 13 teams at the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championship Saturday morning at Pole Green Park with a team score of 205. La Salle (27) won the A-10 team title, followed by Saint Joseph's (75), George Mason (97) and UMass (133).

Kyle Lach ran well-executed races by improving their positions by 18 and 12 places, respectively, throughout the second half of the 8km course," added Davis.
Senior
Tyler Roeth was UD's top finisher in a personal best time of 24:34.3. He cut nearly a minute off his previous best 25:26.41 that he ran at the 2013 NCAA Pre-Nationals. Roeth finished 17th and was just six seconds away from earning All-Conference honors. His race moves him to fifth on the UD Harrier Heroes list and is the 19th best 8K performance in Flyer men's cross country history.
It was a fast race as the winner, La Salle's Nico Greco, a junior, finished in 23:46.9, the second-fastest time in A-10 Championship history. In fact, four runners ran sub-24-minute races.
Junior
Michael Russell was Dayton's second finisher in a personal best time of 25:07.2. His time is seventh on the all-time UD Harrier Heroes list. Senior
Eric Gruenbacher finished just four seconds later in 25:11.2, eighth on the all-time UD Harrier Heroes list.
Hunter Johnston was UD's fourth finisher and, overall, he was the fifth freshman in the entire field to cross the finish line. His time of 25:19.5 is 11th all-time on the UD Harrier Heroes List. His previous best was 26:01.58 at the NCAA Pre-Nationals.
Freshmen
Kyle Lach (25:30.1) and
Josh Zemet (25:30.8) crossed the line milliseconds apart and both ran their personal best times.
Other Flyer finishers were sophomore
Matthew Krakora (25:45.8), freshman
Ethan Louis (25:53.1), freshman
Alex Kuvin (25:48.8) and freshman
Michael Tymoski (26:36.7). Krakora took more than a minute off his previous personal best time of 26:48.33 that he ran at Pre-Nationals. Louis took more than 40 seconds off his personal best time, 26:39.29, also attained at Pre-Nationals. Kuvin also took nearly a minute off his personal best time set at Pre-Nationals, 26:43.59).
The Flyers will next race a 10K at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Friday, Nov. 15 at 12 p.m. in Madison, Wisc.
