DAYTON MEN’S SOCCER LEADS ATLANTIC 10 IN ATTENDANCE

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's soccer field has always been a source of pride for the program and the university.

Baujan Field is not only one of the most scenic fields in the conference, but it is one of the toughest places for opponents to play at.  Hence the Flyers' 2-0 record there this year.

Dayton currently leads the Atlantic 10 in attendance, averaging 1,302 fans per contest. That mark is nearly 450 more than second place, VCU.  After just one weekend of play at Baujan, the Flyers have welcomed over 2,600 fans to their home field.

Not only are the fans supportive by their sheer numbers, but also by volume. This is apparent on game days at Baujan Field, thanks to the leadership of the Red Scare student organization.

Head coach Dennis Currier talked about the benefits of Baujan.

"There are very few college venues that can match the overall experience of Baujan Field," Currier stated. "There is an electric feeling that the players and coaches experience due to the tremendous playing surface, terraced seating section, and the added bonus of having one of the best fan bases you can ask for, led by Red Scare and all of our loyal followers."

This year, Baujan will host the 2013 Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Championships from Nov. 14-17.  For more info, be sure to check back at DaytonFlyers.com.
