WOMEN'S HOOPS PLAY AT UMASS WEDNESDAY

Dayton Is Atop The A-10 Standings With Its 4-0 Record

After going 3-0 in three consecutive home games in an eight-day span, the University of Dayton women's basketball team (11-4, 4-0) will play on the road vs. Massachusetts (3-16, 0-5 A-10) this Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. ET. FLYER FACTS
- Dayton is on an nine-game winning streak, including five-consecutive wins to close out the non-conference portion of its season, and a perfect 4-0 to start A-10 play.

- The Flyers have won 22 consecutive Atlantic 10 games, dating back to Feb. 11, 2012. UD has also won 21 consecutive home games; its streak is the third longest in NCAA D-I women's basketball.

- Dayton has hit at least one three point shot in 394 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. 

- The Flyers are sixth in the nation in scoring offense and seventh in assists per game. They are averaging 87.1 ppg and 19.3 apg, both of which are the best in the Atlantic 10. The Flyers have scored 80+ points in 12 of their 15 games this season, including 100+ in two games. 

- Junior Andrea Hoover is fourth in NCAA and 2nd in A-10 in FT% (93.0). She needs 47 points to reach the 1,000-point milestone.

SCOUTING UMASS
The Minutewomen are 3-16 overall and 0-5 in A-10 games. UMass has lost its last nine games. Massachusetts registered an impressive 64-63 win over Rutgers on Nov. 20. Dayton and UMass have one common non-conference opponent: Central Michigan. The Minutewomen fell to CMU 105-61 on Nov. 10. UD lost to the Chippewas 94-91 in the first meeting on the road (Dec. 5), but handled CMU 102-89 at home (Dec. 30). Kim Pierre-Louis leads UMass with 12.5 ppg. Rashida Timbilla leads them on the boards, averaging 6.9 rpg. She also leads the team in assists (49).

SERIES INFO
The series between UMass and Dayton is tied at 10-all. The Flyers have won the last six meetings, including last year at UD Arena when Dayton got a 83-44 victory on Jan. 27, 2013. Amber Deane and Andrea Hoover each scored 18 points in the Flyer win. Ally Malott added 14 points and six rebounds. UD forced a season-high 31 turnovers in that game. The last time the Flyers played at the Mullins Center, they came away with an 80-55 win on Jan. 18, 2012. Cassie Sant had a team-high 17 points.

The Flyers play at Saint Joseph's Sunday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. on NBC Sports Network. UD's next home game is Saturday, Feb. 1 vs. George Mason at 6 p.m. The Flyers will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sport Day.
