DAYTON CLOSES NON-CONFERENCE SCHED VS. OLE MISS ON TUESDAY

Flyers Looking For Their 12th Straight Win On Tom Blackburn Court

DAYTON -- The University of Dayton Flyers seeks its 12th consecutive home victory, but will face another tough test when they finish non-conference play against Ole Miss on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.   The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network, carried by WHIO Radio and is available with live stats and streaming audio at DaytonFlyers.com.

POWER PLAYERS
• The University of Dayton loves playing against the Power Five conferences.
• Dayton is 27-10 in the last eight years against programs from the Big 12, Big Ten, SEC, Pac 12 and ACC.
• The Flyers have won eight of their last 10 against the SEC.
• This year, Dayton is 3-1 after beating Texas A&M and Boston College in the opening round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, and Georgia Tech last week.
• In 14 career games at Dayton against power five programs, Jordan Sibert averages 15.4 points per game.

SIBERT SIZZLES NATIONALLY
• Sibert has scored in double-figures in the last nine games. He is averaging 16.7 points per game during that stretch.
• In the preseason, ESPN.com ranked the top 100 players in college basketball. Dayton's Jordan Sibert came in at No. 55.
• CBS Sports.com drafted their top 100 players and Sibert came in at No. 91.
• He scored a team-high 18 points against No. 17 UConn.
• Sibert led the Flyers with 20 points after sinking five shots from three-point range against Boston College.
• He was named to the 2014 Puerto Rico Tip-Off All-Tournament team after averaging 15.7 points per game in the three contests.
• Sibert scored a game-high 22 on 7-of-11 shooting from the field versus UIC.
• He scored 11 points at Miami.
• Sibert had 15 points and seven rebounds versus Eastern Michigan.
• He added 11 points and a career-high eight rebounds versus Bowling Green.
• Sibert led Dayton with 18 points at Arkansas.
• He recorded 11 points and five rebounds versus Boston.
• Sibert had 24 points in the Georgia Tech win.

AIR PIERRE
Dyshawn Pierre had his first double-double of the year with 13 points and 10 rebounds versus No. 17 UConn.
• Pierre led UD with 14 points in the win over Texas A&M.
• He added 16 points, six rebounds and four assists versus Boston College.
• Pierre scored 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the floor versus Eastern Michigan.
• He scored 19 points and shot 4-for-4 from beyond the arc against Ga Tech.  He also had six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
• Pierre's 813 career points put him 62nd all-time in Flyer history.
• He had 14 assists in the year's first six games, but has 18 more in the last five contests.

JUST A SCOOCH
Scoochie Smith leads UD and ranks sixth in the A-10 with a 3.6 assist average.
• He tallied an efficient nine-point, eight-assist effort against Alabama A&M.
• Smith scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting against UIC.
• He hauled in a career-high eight rebounds to go with 10 points and five assists against Eastern Michigan.
• Smith dished out eight assists without a turnover, and scored 10 versus Boston U.
• He had five points and three steals in the Georgia Tech win.

SPECIAL K
Kyle Davis broke out in a big way with 13 points against Alabama A&M. He went 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
• He tallied 10 points and four steals versus Texas A&M.
• Davis added seven points, four assists and three steals at Arkansas.
• He scored nine points (7-10 FT) and had six assists vs. Ga Tech.

POWERFUL POLLARD
Kendall Pollard came off the bench for 15 points and seven rebounds against No. 17 UConn.
• He added eight points versus Boston College.
• Pollard had a career-high four assists versus UIC.
• He shot 6-of-7 from the floor en route to a 15-point effort at Miami.
• Pollard led UD with 16 points and nine rebounds against Eastern Michigan.
• In his first career start, Pollard busted out in a big way with a career-high 19 points and eight rebounds against Boston U.

DYNAMITE DAVIS
Darrell Davis, a Top 150 recruit last year, made an immediate impact leading the Flyers with 17 points against Alabama A&M. He went 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
• Davis' 17 points in a freshman opener was the most since Chris Wright scored 22 against East Tennessee State in 2007.
• After scoring only 15 points in the previous nine games, Davis was on fire with a 19-point effort against Boston thanks to 6-of-7 shooting from the field and 5-of-5 from beyond the arc.

BASS PRO SHOPS
Ryan Bass joins the Flyers as a graduate student transfer, making his debut UIC. Converted his first shot as a Flyer and made significant hustle plays in the game.
• Bass spent his three previous athletic seasons at Oakland University.
• He added five points, two rebounds and two assists at Arkansas.
• Bass scored eight against Boston U.

THE WEHRLI BIRD
Bobby Wehrli hauled in two rebounds against Alabama A&M.
• He scored four points versus UIC.
• Sank his first career three-pointer to finish with four points versus Boston.

ABOUT OLE MISS
• The Rebels enter the game 8-3 overall and are 5-0 this season away from home.
• Coach Andy Kennedy's club is led by a strong backcourt.  Junior Stefan Moody averages 14.6 points a game and leads the SEC and is 12th nationally in FT% (.918, 45-49).  Senior point guard Jarvis Summers averages 12.1 ppg, and is the active career SEC leader in points (1,354), assists (408), minutes (3,208) and wins (73).
• Summers scored 29 points against Dayton last year in Oxford.
• Senior guard LaDarius White comes of the bench and averages 12.7 points a game, and makes 49% of his three-pointers (19-39).

SERIES STUFF
• Dayton leads the all-time series 5-0.
• The Flyers won last year at Tad Smith Coliseum 83-80 in overtime on Devin Oliver's three-pointer with 0.3 seconds left in OT.
• Oliver scored a career-high 26 points in the game, after having just four at halftime.

GETTING DEFENSIVE
• Dayton is 9-1 this season when limiting opponents to less than 70 points in a game (9-0 under 65 points).
• Dating back to last year, Dayton has not allowed an opponent to score 70 or more points in 15 of the last 19 games.
• Dayton ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense (58.5 ppg), third in FG% defense (.392) and fourth in 3-pt. FG% defense (.300).
