OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – The University of Dayton rowing team started with a strong first session at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational Saturday.
"We are very pleased with first day of racing. The weather has been great and Louisville and ORRA have put together an amazing event," said UD Head Coach Mike Wenker. "The kids are doing well and we're happy with the results and efforts. We will get faster as the season goes on. We've already identified some issues and will work on them for the next races.
"Our Novice 4 had a very nice race for their first time, competitively, out on the water," he added.
The Flyers will be back in action Sunday morning at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational on the waters of Melton Lake.
