DAYTON MEN FINISH SPRING SEASON STRONG AT ALL-OHIO CHAMPIONSHIPS

CINCINNATI – The University of Dayton men's cross country team finished the season strong at the All-Ohio Track and Field Championships hosted by University of Cincinnati this weekend.

"We had three men run under 10-minutes in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase, including two who will return next fall and we also scored points in the 10,000-meter and 1,500-meter runs which show that our team has improved since the end of the cross country season," said UD Head Coach Rich Davis. "We finished a good season on a high note with some very good performances."

Senior Tyler Roeth was fourth overall in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase in a time of 9:23 (which is 3.4 seconds behind the school-record held by Jeremy Schiele). Freshmen Hunter Johnston (9:43) and Mike Tymoski (9:59) also ran sub-10 minutes in the Steeplechase event.

Freshman Ethan Louis finished eighth in the 10,000-meter run in a time of 34:15.40.

Freshman Kyle Lach placed eighth in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 3:55.63 (2.7 seconds behind Mike Andersen's school record).
