DAYTON, Ohio - After opening Atlantic 10 play with a 2-0 weekend on the road at Duquesne and La Salle, the Flyers will be at home this weekend to play host to Fordham and Rhode Island. Friday, Dayton will be supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month with a Pink Out! Both matches will be played at Frericks Center and admission is free.

About FordhamFordham (7-11, 1-1 A-10) enjoyed a three-match home stand this past week, dropping decisions to Stony Brook and Davidson before picking up a 3-0 win over VCU on Sunday. With seven victories, the Rams have already doubled their win total from last season (3). Fordham is led offensively by Breanna Jones with 2.85 kills/set (8th A-10) and Emily Fronk with 8.47 assists/set (7th A-10). On the defensive side, the Rams are led by Clarissa Cartledge with 3.13 digs/set (9th A-10) and Oliva LaPorta with 0.83 blocks/set.
Series StuffDayton and Fordham have squared off 33 times in the series between the two programs with the Flyers holding a 32-1 advantage. UD's only loss to FOR was on Nov. 21, 1997 in the Bronx. The two last met Oct. 17, 2014 in Dayton with the Flyers claiming a 3-0 in Frericks Center.

13th to 1,000With two wins at the 2014 Bowling Green Hampton Inn Invitational, Dayton surpassed the 1,000-win mark as a program and is just the 13th NCAA DI team to attain that level of success. The Flyers currently rank 13th all-time in the Division I record book with an overall program tally of 1,037-562 (.649) over 46 seasons (1970).
UD Picked First in 2015 A-10 Preseason PollDayton has been chosen to finish in first place in the Atlantic 10 for 2015. The Flyers, winners of five of the last six A-10 titles, tallied 88 points in voting among the league's head coaches (including eight of 10 first-place votes). Co-Player and Defensive Player of the Week Awards for UDOn Monday, Sept. 21, the Atlantic 10 Conference named senior
Alaina Turner the league's co-Player of the Week while sophomore
Amber Erhahon earned her second A-10 Defensive Player of the week nod. Turner averaged 4.60 kills per set while hitting at .261 and recorded her sixth double-double of the season in Dayton's 3-0 weekend at the Flyer Invitational. Erhahon averaged 1.30 blocks/set and 0.60 digs/set for the tournament and hit a career-high .700 against Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

Erhahon Earns UD's First Weekly AwardSophomore
Amber Erhahon picked up the squad's first A-10 weekly award of the season on Tuesday after being named the league's Defensive Player of the Week. Erhahon averaged 1.40 blocks/set, 1.90 kills/set and 3.05 points/set over the weekend and was named to the Saluki Invitational All-Tournament Team.

2014 Atlantic 10 Coach, Player, Libero and Setter of the Year ...The Flyers claimed four of the five yearly awards given out by the Atlantic 10 as announced by the league office on Nov. 20:

Jane Emmenecker - Setter of the Year. This is the first end-of-the-year award for each student-athlete and the second time coach Horsmon (2005) has been recognized.
