LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Dayton volleyball team received the AVCA Team Academic Award, the American Volleyball Coaches' Association announced.

This award recognizes teams that finish the academic year with a minimum team GPA of 3.3. The Flyers earned a 3.5069 GPA in the 2025-26 school year.

"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."

Dayton is one of 231 Division I programs to earn this honor. It has been nine consecutive years that UD has won the AVCA Academic Award. The team has been a recipient 15 times, dating back to the award's start after the 1992-93 academic year.
