BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The University of Dayton women's track and field team competed at the Hoosier Hills Invitational Friday.
Senior
Maya Pedersen opened the event with the 60m dash by qualifying for the finals with a time of 7.87 in the prelims. That was the seventh-best time and earned her a chance to run again in the finals. In the next round, the Columbus, Ohio native posted the exact same time and earned eighth overall. Both times were personal records.
Pedersen went on to take fourth in the 200m dash, posting a time of 25.61, another career best.
In the pole vault, senior
Ashley DeMange finished ninth while junior
Paige Yaeger took 14
th in the 400m dash.
Junior
Sydney Riethman competed in the long jump and finished in 13
th place with a mark of 5.20m.
The Flyers will now head to Kingston, R.I. next weekend for the 2015 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championship.
