WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton rowing team closed out action at the George Washington Invitational Saturday on the Potomac River.

In the morning: UD's V4+ defeated Georgetown in a head-to-head race after posting a time of 7:54.8 compared to the Hoya's time of 8:03.4. The Flyers' boat included:

Georgetown claimed the next race in the 2V8+ with a time of 6:48.8, while UD posted a time of 7:25.7. Dayton's 2V8+ consisted of

Dayton's V8+ boat claimed a victory by less than a second with a hard sprint at the finish over the Hoyas. Dayton raced in a time of 6:32.5, edging out Georgetown's at the finish line with its 6:33.6 time. UD's V8+ crew included:Â
