DAYTON, Ohio -Â The University of Dayton softball team wraps up a roadswing tomorrow, April 14, with a non-conference single game against Ohio University. Â First pitch is at 5 p.m. from the Ohio Softball Field.Â
Recent ActionThe Flyers have a 28-11 record and are leading the A-10 with a 12-2 mark. Â They are coming off a series sweep, taking three games from the Saint Joseph's Hawks on the road. Dayton won all three games in convincing fashion, 7-1, 9-0, and 6-1.
Ohio enters the game with a 11-22 record overall and is currently 4-4 in the MAC. Their last series was against Kent State where they lost both games of a two-game set.
Series StuffDayton is 6-17 all-time against the Bobcats. Â They last played in 2014, where Dayton split a home series 1-1.

Cara LaPlaca reached the 20-win milestone for her sixth time at UD, and her fifth season in a row. Â LaPlaca then broke her record for most wins in a season at UD which was 27, following the 6-1 win over Saint Joseph's on April 12. Â She is now looking to break the overall record for most wins in a season at 35 (2000), as well as the record for conference wins at 12 (2013).
300 ClubWith the 8-0 victory over the Fordham Rams on April 4, LaPlaca earned her 300th career victory. Â It was her 169th at Dayton. Â She earned 131 victories while head coach at her alma mater Clarke College.
Perfect EnglishSenior pitcher
Kayla English threw the first perfect game in UD history on March 29 against Rhode Island. Â She retired all 15 batters in a row in the 10-0, five-inning victory. Â It was her second no-hitter in her career, she threw one against Wright State on March 27, 2014. Â For her performance, she was awarded A-10 Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season.
Top TossersThis season the UD pitching staff leads the Atlantic 10 in ERA with a 2.28 mark, which is good for 24th in the country. Â The staff is led by
Kayla English who is tops in the A-10 with a 1.56 ERA (27th nationally). Â
Manda Cash ranks second in the conference with a 1.66 ERA (32nd nationally). Â English also ranks first in the conference in hits per seven innings (4.10, 11th nationally), shutouts (6, 15th nationally), while Cash is tops in strikeouts per seven innings (9.4, 19th nationally) and in saves with five (5th nationally)

Manda Cash was named A-10 Rookie of the Week for games played April 6-12. It marked English's fourth time and Cash's third time earning their respective weekly honors this season. Â English posted a 2-0 record with two starts in UD's 3-0 week. She allowed just one earned run in 11.0 innings of work for a 0.64 ERA. English also racked up eight strikeouts in those 11 innings. Â Cash, of Columbus, Ohio, was in shutdown mode once again this week, not allowing a single run and striking out 13 in 10.0 innings of work vs. Saint Joseph's, who was second in the A-10 standings going into the series. She pitched a complete-game shutout vs. Saint Joseph's in the second game of the series Saturday, striking out nine and walking none. It marked her first collegiate, complete game shutout.
