#UDWBB RANKED 17TH IN FINAL USA TODAY COACHES' POLL

Dayton One of Three Team Previously Unranked Prior to the 2015 NCAA Tournament

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's basketball team received 318 points in the final USA Today Coaches' Poll, ranking the Flyers 17th in the nation. Dayton is one of three teams that entered into the Top 25 poll after previously not being ranked prior to play in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. The Flyers finished 2014-15 with a 28-7 overall record and the program's first appearance in a Regional Final, falling to eventual national champion Connecticut.

UD returns to the Top 25 after earning a ranking of 22 in the 2014-15 preseason poll.

All four of Dayton's NCAA Tournament opponents appear either in the Coaches' Poll Top 25 or received votes. Iowa State received eight votes but is not ranked - the Flyers defeated the Cyclones, 78-66, in NCAA First Round action. Kentucky came in just ahead of Dayton at No. 16 - UD got past UK, 99-94, in the Second Round on the Wildcats' home court. Ranked No. 10 is Louisville, Dayton's Regional Semifinal foe was dispatched by the Flyers, 82-66. UD was eliminated by top-ranked and eventual national champion Connecticut, 91-70, who received all 32 first-place votes in the final Coaches' Poll.

The USA TODAY Sports Board of Coaches is made up of 32 head coaches at Division I institutions. All are members of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
