Complete List Of 2015 Freshman Class
DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton football team has finalized its 2015 class of newcomers.  Overall, 36 newcomers will suit up for the Flyers for the 2015 season.
 
The 2015 class consists of 25 team captains and 20 members of the National Honor Society. In addition, nine newcomers earned all-state honors. Seventeen incoming recruits played multiple sports in high school.  One newcomer was a member of back-to-back state championship teams.

"This year's recruiting class is a little larger than usual but we were able to address some position needs with some very talented players," head coach Rick Chamberlin said.  "We are very happy with the skill level in this class, especially in the offensive line, wide receiver and quarterback positions.  We look forward to these bright, accomplished young men joining our program and helping us continue the winning tradition here at the University of Dayton."

The newest Flyers hail from seven states – Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Dayton was 8-3 in 2014, and finished tied for second in the Pioneer Football League with a 6-2 PFL record.  The Flyers returns 14 starters (six offense, seven defense, one specialist) and 43 letterwinners in 2015. Those starters include team captains Christopher Beaschler at linebacker, safety Danny Leach and receiver Cory Stuart. 

The Flyers will kick off the 2015 campaign at Robert Morris on Saturday, Sept. 5.
