DAYTON – The FCS Stats Perform Preseason All-America teams were announced for the upcoming 2026 fall campaign and honored University of Dayton senior Gavin Lochow as Third Team All-Purpose player.

Lochow will enter his senior season coming off a Dayton team MVP year in which he earned First Team All-PFL for both wide receiver and special teams. The Proctorville, Ohio native finished 2025 with a team-leading 731 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, 362 rushing yards for two scores, and 205 kick return yards. On top of that, Lochow even threw for a touchdown on five passing attempts, showing his all-around versatility.

"Gavin has been a major part of our program since the day he stepped on campus," said UD head coach Trevor Andrews. "He is a true student-athlete who excels on and off the field, checks every box for character and work ethic, and is a big-play threat every time he touches the ball. Gavin handles himself like a pro. He eats clean, works hard, and is the kind of leader you want younger players to look up to. He truly bleeds Flyer Red and Blue."

Lochow returns to a veteran offensive unit that will look to improve upon its 7-4 record last season. The Flyers will open the 2026 campaign on Aug. 29 at Welcome Stadium against Fairmont State.
