FLYERS RANKED NO.25 IN LATEST AP POLL

The Dayton Flyers are ranked for the first time this season in The Associated Press Top 25 coming in at No. 25.

This is the third consecutive year under coach Archie Miller UD has been nationally-ranked.

"This is exciting for the fans, I'm sure, but all I am focused on is having a great practice today," Miller said. "That's what we are about. We don't have to mention anything to our players. They know what is important is improving as a team every day.

"We have to focus on these next couple of practices, because we know we will have a tough game on Wednesday against UMass."

Dayton, 11-2 overall, is also rated No. 8 in the latest Rating Percentage Index. The RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is a measure of strength of schedule and how a team does against that schedule. UD has Top 100 wins over Iowa, Monmouth, Alabama, William & Mary and Vanderbilt.

At the end of non-conference play, Dayton was the only team in the country with five Top 50 wins.

All-time as a ranked team, the Flyers are 127-42 overall and 68-9 at home.

UD returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 6 hosting the Massachusetts Minutemen at 8 p.m. ET.
