COACH'S COMMENTS
"That was unexpected, but a very pleasant surprise," said head coach
Jason Ordway. "Hunter ran exactly how we wanted him to. We wanted him to shoot for a 1-5 spot and he finished second. He ran an awesome race.
Chris Negri ran great. The performance of the meet though was probably
Tyler Adgalanis being right there with Chris and he pulled the whole field along. We put five in the Top 19 and that is a very tough score to beat. The 57 is a formidable score at a conference meet. It was absolutely a team effort though. We moved beautifully as a pack and executed the game plan exactly how we wanted to. It all came together at once. We were able to have everything strike on the same day. We were ninth last year and now we are No. 1. That is a testament to how hard these guys have worked in the offseason. Our strength and conditioning staff has helped us out. The guys themselves putting accountability on each other, and all the miles over the summer. And just believing in ourselves and really competing well at some big meets this year and using that experience to have everything hit on the same day. Go Flyers."
