The University of Dayton women's soccer team (3-6-2, 1-1-1 A-10) continues Atlantic 10 Conference play at home for senior day and alumnae day vs. VCU (5-6-1, 1-2-0 A-10) at Baujan Field this Sunday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. The match will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable TV with Alex Mikos on the call. Senior day festivities will be pregame and the alumnae will be recognized at halftime.
• Promotions for the VCU vs. Dayton women's soccer match include: Pregame Senior Recognition, and Dunk Tank; Pink T-shirts; rootbeer and pizza handed out by Red Scare; halftime Alumnae recognition; and a pink jersey auction for Pink Ribbon Girls; Dayton soccer scarves (must have attended eight UD men's or women's soccer matches and have games punched on card or they can be purchased for $15 each, while supplies last).

Kaelyn Johns had a career-high eight saves in Dayton's 5-0 shutout of Davidson Thursday night, Oct. 6, at Alumni Soccer Stadium.
• The last time the Flyers played at Alumni Stadium they tied Duquesne in the quarterfinals of the A-10 Championship last year. The Dukes advanced, 3-2 on PKs, and went on to win the tournament title. It marked the first time since 2006 that Dayton did not advance to the A-10 semifinals.
THE SERIES vs. VCU
• The Flyers lead the all-time series 2-1-3 over the Rams. The Rams won the last outing 3-2 on Oct. 11, 2015 in Richmond, Va.
• The last Flyer win over the Rams took place during the 2014 A-10 Quarterfinals with a score of 3-0 on Nov. 6, 2014.
• UD is 1-0-2 all-time when playing VCU at home.

Kaelyn Johns started every game in goal as a true freshman last year. She finished her rookie campaign with 79 saves and a 1.65 GAA. She registered her first shutout of the 2016 season in UD's 3-0 win over Purdue, tallying a career-high eight saves. She tied her career high with eight saves in a 5-0 Flyer win at Davidson (Oct. 6).
SCOUTING VCU
• The Rams lost 1-0 at Fordham on Oct. 6. It marked the fourth time this season that VCU has been shut out.
• VCU finished 4-4-0 in non-conference play this year and has current A-10 record of 1-2-0.
• VCU was picked to finish third this season in the A-10 Preseason Coaches Poll. Sophomore Julia Suarez was named to the A-10 Preseason Team.
• Suarez leads VCU with five goals. She also has dished out a team-high three assists. Suarez also leads the Rams in points (13), shots on goal (16) and shots (27).
• Four different Rams have scored multiple goals this season.
• Aubrey Sanderson has started 11 games in goal for VCU. She owns a 1. 28 GAA (2nd in the A-10), has 46 saves and one shutout.
TERRIFIC TUCKER
• Flyer Head Coach
Mike Tucker is in his 22nd season at UD and has amassed an overall record of 307-120-32 overall and 164-32-11 vs. A-10 opponents.
• The legendary coach announced he will retire following the 2016 season.
• UD's 3-1 win over Fordham on Oct. 18, 2015 at Baujan Field marked the 300th career victory for Coach
Mike Tucker. He is one of just 17 active coaches to have won 300 matches in NCAA Division I Women's Soccer.
BELIEVIN' IN BAUJAN
• The Flyers are 216-63-21 all-time in games played at Baujan Field. UD owns a .761 winning percentage in those matches. In the last six years, Dayton is 60-11-6 at home, an astounding .821 winning percentage at Baujan.
FLYER SUCCESS
• The Dayton women's soccer program owns an overall record of 431-185-49 since it became a varsity program in 1984.
• The Flyers made NCAA Tournament appearances in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2014, advancing to the second round in both 2009 and 2010 and to the Sweet Sixteen in 2001.
