Box Score DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's tennis team saw its eight match winning streak snapped on Friday night as the Flyers fell to Northern Kentucky 4-2 at the Five Seasons Sports Park.
UD was able to jump out early and grab the doubles point thanks to a strong showing from top pair
Zach Berry and
Carsten Fisher, who won 6-4, as well as a 7-5 victory at the No. 2 spot thanks to
Jordan Benjamin and
Lorenzo Rollhauser.
Unfortunately for the Flyers, the Norse took control of the match in singles, winning the top four spots. Dayton's only victory on the singles side was
Simon Jayaram, who was a 6-4, 6-3 victor.
UP NEXTDayton looks to start its next winning streak with a road trip to North Carolina, as the Flyers are set to take on Charlotte on Thursday, March 24 followed up by an Atlantic 10 match against Davidson on Friday, March 25.
