DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's soccer program announced its schedule for the upcoming 2016 season.
"We are excited to get back on the field again this fall and face a challenging schedule that will give us another opportunity to get back to the NCAA tournament," said Head coach
Dennis Currier. "After tasting such a high level of success in 2015, the team has increased expectations to compete for another championship."
The Flyers have a loaded schedule both in non-conference and Atlantic 10 games. Dayton will play eight home games, plus a home exhibition at Baujan Field.
The 2016 preseason begins on Aug. 16 at home against Wisconsin-Milwaukee before a road exhibition at SIU-Edwardsville on Aug. 19.
The regular season gets underway on Aug. 26 at Cleveland State, followed by the home opener against Western Michigan on Aug. 28.
The three-game home stretch continues with St. Francis on Sept. 2 and Belmont on Sept. 4.
Dayton heads back out on the road for the UNC-Wilmington Tournament with UNC-Wilmington on Sept. 9 and Marist on Sept. 11.
The Flyers then host IPFW on Sept. 17 before four-straight road games at Bowling Green (Sept. 20), Oakland (Sept. 24), Liberty (Sept. 27), and the A-10 opener at Massachusetts (Oct. 1).
Conference play continues at home against Fordham on Oct. 5 and versus Saint Louis on Oct. 8.
Road games at St. Bonaventure (Oct. 15) and La Salle (Oct. 19) precede a home contest against Rhode Island (Oct. 22) and the final home game against Duquesne (Oct. 29).
The regular season finale is scheduled for Nov. 5 at VCU.
