KETTERING, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's cross country team placed second at the 2016
Rich Davis Flyer 5K Challenge at Indian Riffle Park in nearby Kettering, Ohio.
The Flyers trailed Ohio by just one point and came in ahead of a Top 25 program in Louisville. Dayton had three student-athletes in the Top 10 and eight in the Top 16.
It was the first meet of the season for the Dayton program, which saw 13 new personal bests for the Flyers.
