COACH ORDWAY'S COMMENTS
"We finally had a good, solid day that showed where our training is," said head coach
Jason Ordway. "We did very well. We lost to Ohio State by three in the Division I race, but were able to beat three other regionally ranked programs. The conditions were pretty bad, but the course held up better than most courses would. The lightning delay messed up our warm-up a little bit, but every team went through it. We handled it well and were mentally tough today to stick it out and put up a good effort. The times weren't there, but we just put in a great competitive effort in terms of racing other guys and other teams to finish just outside of the top spot was very impressive in my book. This bodes well for the rest of the season and something we are going to be able to use going forward.
Chris Negri had an awesome day today. He took a risk early on and was able to keep pushing to finish seventh overall. This was one of the best team races that we have ever had from one to seven."
