DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton volleyball team will be traveling to Evansville, Indiana, this weekend for Evansville's Dunn Hospitality Tournament Sept. 9-10. Dayton will square off against Kent State Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET at UE's Carson Center.

Scouting Kent State
Kent State (4-3) is coming off a 3-0 win over Robert Morris at home on Tuesday. The Golden Flashes went 1-2 at their home tournament last weekend, with losses to Boise State and Tennessee and a 3-0 win over Wright State. Kent State is led by Kelsey Bittinger with 3.91 kills/set (1st MAC) to go with 2.59 digs/set while Myla King is the team's leading blocker with 1.29 blocks/set (1st MAC). Challen Geraghty's 5.76 digs/set leads the Golden Flashes as well as the MAC.
Series Stuff
There have been 10 meetings in the all-time series between Dayton and Kent State with the Golden Flashes owning a 6-4 advantage. The two squads last squared off on Nov. 25, 2005 in Dayton as UD defeated KSU, 3-0.
RPI Rankings
At the end of the 2015 season, Dayton held a Rating Percentage Index (RPI) ranking of 22 according to ncaa.com. Kent State finished up last season at 98 in the RPI.

• Dayton has won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title 12 times (2015, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2001, 1998). The Flyers have won the A-10 Championship title a league-record 10 times (2015, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2005, 2004, 2003) and made their 11th NCAA appearance in program history in 2015.
• Over the last seven seasons (2009-2015), the Flyers have recorded a 93-9 mark in Atlantic 10 Conference play, including a perfect 14-0 mark in 2015 and 2012 and a 15-0 record in 2010. UD suffered only one conference loss in 2014, 2011 and 2009.

13th to 1,000
With two wins at the 2014 Bowling Green Hampton Inn Invitational, Dayton surpassed the 1,000-win mark as a program and is just the 13th NCAA DI team to attain that level of success. The Flyers currently rank 13th all-time in the Division I record book with an overall program tally of 1,062-563 (.654) over 47 seasons (1970).
A-10 Player of the Week for Erhahon (Again)
For the second-consecutive week Dayton junior
Amber Erhahon was named the Atlantic Player of the Week on Tuesday (9/6) as announced by the conference office. Erhahon led the Flyers to a 4-0 week with a .430 hitting percentage and 0.88 blocks per set. She also scored 3.66 points per set while averaging 3.00 kills per set, including her career-high 20 kills against Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday.
Hausfeld Court
Former Flyer Kacie Hausfeld died tragically in an airplane crash during her time as a Dayton Flyer. In her memory, her family made a substantial contribution to the Dayton volleyball program. That donation enabled the program to renovate Frericks Center, adding a new public address and sound system, new seating on the event level, new scoreboards and video boards and the playing surface was named "Hausfeld Court" among many other improvements to the facility.
UD Picked First in 2016 A-10 Preseason Poll
Dayton has been chosen to finish in first place in the Atlantic 10 for 2016. The Flyers, winners of six of the last seven A-10 titles, tallied 83 points in voting among the league's head coaches (including six of 10 first-place votes). Saint Louis tied Dayton with 83 points, including three first-place votes.
