DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's tennis team struggled out of the gate and could never recover against Eastern Illinois Friday evening, falling to the Panthers 5-2 at Five Seasons Sports Club.

MATCH NOTES
•    The Flyers wins came from Jade Kawamoto and Natalie Allen, playing at No. 4 and 6 singles respectively.
•    Dayton lost the doubles point, but the No. 3 pairing of Allen and Alex Townsend came away with a 7-6 victory at No. 3 to make things interesting.

UP NEXT
UD returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 28 as it travels south to take on Northern Kentucky at 4 p.m.
