MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The University of Dayton women's rowing team had its first competition of the 2017 fall season when it faced off against West Virginia and Duquesne Saturday on the Monongahela River.

We had a good day of racing in Morgantown. It was nice to line up and race another team and see where we are at this point in the year. Each boat learned what works and what needs some improvement. The weather was near perfect. We could not have asked for more.  Many thanks to WVU for hosting the teams. We look forward to racing Duquesne in the spring.

LINEUPS
The lineup for the V8+ in the morning races was Patricia Santoni (coxswain), Isabelle Blanchard, Hannah Butler, Casey Becker, Kaleigh Barkaszi, Anna Benton, Erin Dwyer, Sonia Krolak, and Liz DeNardo. 

The lineup for the V4+ in the morning races was Meghan Garriott (coxswain), Osa Wheeler, Taylor Alexander, Sydney Torok, and Elizabeth Hoffman.

The afternoon lineups in the fours included: 

Meghan Garriott (coxswain), Isabelle Blanchard, Hannah Butler, Sonia Krolak, and Liz DeNardo. 

Patricia Santoni (coxswain), Casey Becker, Kaleigh Barkaszi, Anna Benton and Erin Dwyer. 

Jeanie Freeby (coxswain), Sydney Torok, Osa Wheeler, Jaclyn Franz, and Elizabeth Hoffman.
