Dayton, Ohio -- Dayton's Ellie Cronin was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Women's Golfer of the Month. She averaged 73.96 strokes per round in October, which is over a stroke better than her 74.92 season stroke average. Cronin finished in the top three overall in both events played in October. She recorded a 223 (+7) at the Eastern Michigan Shirley Spork Invitational. She fired a 145 (+5) at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, which was good enough for a share of first place. Cronin also led the Flyers in all scoring rounds during the month of October.
Losing medalist honors in a five-hole playoff after tying for first place after 36 holes, Cronin led the Flyers to a seventh place finish at the Dayton Flyer Invitational to wrap up the fall season. The Flyers are going to be back in action Feb. 4-7 at the Bowling Green Mid-American Match Play Challenge.
