EDISON, N.J. – The University of Dayton women's golf team was selected to finish fifth in the 2017 MAAC Women's Golf Championship in the Coach's Preseason Poll.
 
The Flyers received 51 total votes, including one first place vote.
 
This will be the third year that the UD women's golf team competes in the MAAC Championship. Last year in their second year in the MAAC tourney, the Flyers finished fourth overall with a score of 324 – 324 – 310 = 958 (+94).
 
Albany and Quinnipiac are tied for first in the 2017 Coach's Preseason Poll. This is the third year in a row Albany has been chosen as a favorite. Quinnipiac picks up the co-favorite spot after defeating Monmouth in the 2016 MAAC Championship.
 
The 2017 MAAC Women's Golf Championship will take place from April 21-23 at Disney's Palm Golf Course in Orlando, Fla.
