DAYTON – The University of Dayton football team will be welcoming back a former member of their coaching staff, David Marquis, this season.
Marquis is back with the Flyers after four seasons with Randolph-Macon College and Wittenberg University. He served as a linebackers coach and special team's coordinator in those years.
Back in 2011 and 2012, Marquis served as a defensive ends coach for the Flyers, and will now move to linebackers in his second stint at Dayton.
Originally from Bridgeville, Pa., Marquis earned his bachelor's degree in education from Kent State in 2006, where he was a student member of the Kent State staff during his time as an undergraduate. He also earned a master's degree in sport and recreation management at his alma mater in 2010 while serving as a graduate assistant football coach.
