RICHMOND, Va.  – The University of Dayton's women basketball team won its eighth Atlantic 10 game of the season with a 66-59 victory at the University of Richmond Wednesday. Â
The Flyers (15-4, 8-0 A-10) stay atop the A-10 standings and continue their winning streak while the Spiders (7-14, 2-6) continue to fight for postseason opportunities.

1ST Quarter: Dayton 15, Richmond 10
- Dayton was the first to score and pulled ahead 4-2 in the first three minutes as both teams struggled to get a rhythm offensively.
- By the first media timeout, the Flyers held an 8-4 lead over the Spiders after holding Richmond to 22 percent from the field in the first five minutes.

- The Spiders went cold again from the floor, going scoreless for 4:43.
- Redshirt senior Alex Harris scored four straight points for Dayton to lead Richmond 25-19 with two minutes to go.
- The Spiders scored at the buzzer to close the gap to three going into the locker rooms.
- Dayton shot 41.7 percent compared to Richmond's 28.6 percent, but committed 13 turnovers and did not hit a single three pointer.

- Richmond struck first to cut the margin to one at 27-26 in the first two minutes.
- Senior Jenna Burdette hit the first three pointer of the game for the Flyers at the 6:43 mark of the third quarter.
- The three-point margin remained going into the media timeout.
- Richmond tied it up at the 4:05 mark at 34-34.
- Scaife became the first Flyer to reach double digits with her 10th point.
- The Flyers went on a short run to take a 38-34 lead, forcing a Spider timeout at the 3:18 mark.

- Dayton came out strong to start the fourth and took a nine-point lead 52-43, forcing an early Richmond timeout.
