Dayton (18-7, 9-2 A-10) split its Atlantic 10 matches last week, dropping a tough 3-2 decision at VCU Friday and claiming a 3-0 sweep at Davidson on Sunday. Scouting Saint Louis
As Dayton's travel partner, Saint Louis (5-18, 4-7 A-10)Â Â also played at Davidson and VCU this weekend. On Friday, Saint Louis got out of Davidson with a 3-0 win but was upended by VCU, 3-1, on Sunday. Currently in seventh place in A-10 standings, the Billikens are battling for the final spot in the upcoming league tournament. SLU's Maya Taylor leads the team and tanks second in the A-10 with 4.0 kills/set and Cayce Chaykowsky passes 4.65 digs/set (4th A-10)
Series Stuff
One of Dayton's most frequently faced opponents, Saint Louis trails 35-16 in the all-time series between the two programs. The Flyers have won 12 straight and 20 of the last 21 meetings, including UD's 3-0 win over SLU at home on Oct. 19 of this season.
