MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. - The University of Dayton women's golf team defeated no. 5 Radford University in the first round of match play today and lost the second round of match play to no. 1 seed Wofford College at the Citadel Oyster Shuck Match Play Challenge. The two-day event is being held at Patriots Point Golf Course with an eight-team field.
Fourth-seeded Dayton won the first match against Radford in dramatic fashion, with a final score of 3-2. Dayton's lineup came to compete, as all five matches in the first round of play came down to the last two holes. Wofford then defeated Dayton, 3.5-1.5. Â
