Dayton -- Dayton's
Emily Connors was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Women's Golfer of the Week. Her performance at the UD Hilton Head Invitational guided the Flyers to second place in the competition. Connors' round of 79 at Berkeley Hall Golf Club tied for the team-low and finished fourth overall at the invitational.
Coach Kosters had high praises for Connors, saying, "Emily has always had the potential for explosive golf. She can pound it off the tee which puts her in a great position to come in with a short iron and her ball striking has been solid all spring setting her up for birdies. If the opponent was in tight, Emily got in tighter. It's great to have her playing this well and leading the team as team captain too."
Connors and the Flyers will be back in action on March 18-20 at the Morehead State Citrus Challenge in Sorrento, Fla.
