#UDWSOC Battled #25 Butler; Fell 1-0 On An Own Goal

The Flyers Are 3-2-0 This Season

DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 25 Butler Thursday night at Baujan Field. 

Dayton falls to 3-2-0, while the Bulldogs remain undefeated at 4-0-0.

KEY STATS
• Butler outshot Dayton 10-1 in the first half. The Flyers came on strong in the second half and had seven shots, while holding the Bulldogs to just four. 
• Dayton led 3-1 on corner kicks. 
• Senior Kaelyn Johns had five saves in goal for the Flyers.
• Sophomore Kara Camarco and freshman Izzy Greene both earned their first collegiate start. Freshman Magalie Dépôt saw her first action as a Flyer, logging 21 minutes against the Bulldogs. 
• Izzy Greene led Dayton with two shots; both on goal. 

KEY MOMENT
• The lone goal of the match was scored in the 43rd minute. The Flyers deflected the ball into the net on a free kick for an own goal. It marked the second home match of the season that Dayton has lost 1-0 on an own goal (the other being against Louisville).

• The Flyers continue their four-match homestand, hosting Akron Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field. Admission is free.
