Women's Soccer Falls 2-1 To BGSU In 2OT

Landy Mertz Scored Early For The Flyers

Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ohio The University of Dayton women's soccer team fell 2-1 in double overtime at defending MAC champions Bowling Green Thursday night.

KEY STATS
• BGSU had 23 total shots, while Dayton had 12. Both squads had six shots on goal.
• The Flyers committed 24 fouls, while the Falcons had 25. Each team also had two yellow cards.

KEY MOMENTS
• Mertz scored her first collegiate goal in the sixth minute to give UD a 1-0 lead. It came off of Huber's first collegiate assist.
• Dayton held the 1-0 lead until the Falcons tied it up in the 62nd minute.  
• BGSU scored the golden goal with just six seconds left in the match.

• The Flyers return to action this Sunday at 1 p.m. vs. Indiana State at Baujan Field.
