DAYTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly women's basketball awards and recognized University of Dayton senior Jayla Scaife as conference player of the week.

Scaife averaged 20.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in Dayton's two wins last week. The senior forward from Muncie, Ind., scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the victory at George Washington Wednesday before adding a 21-point, 10-rebound performance in the win over Fordham Sunday. Scaife shot 42.4 percent from the field in the two-game stretch.

This is the first honor for Scaife this season after being named A-10 Preseason First Team All-Conference.

The Flyers are 14-7 on the year and 7-0 in A-10 play. Dayton is on a nine-game winning streak heading into bye week before returning to action Sunday at Saint Joseph's.
