NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – University of Dayton women's tennis sophomore Erica Wojcikiewicz earned the Atlantic 10's first Performer of the Week for the 2021 season.
 
It marked the first time since Mattea Kilstofte on April 11, 2018, that Dayton has taken home the honor.
 
Wojcikiewicz went 1-1 in both singles and doubles over the weekend, helping lead the Flyers to the team's first win of the season on Friday against IUPUI. UD won in convincing fashion, taking every set over the Jaguars.
 
 The sophomore joined with junior Natalie Stanton to defeat Diya Matta and Samantha Hayward 6-1 in doubles play and Wojcikiewicz followed that up with a three-set victory in No. 2 singles over Krystal Grubb of the Jaguars.
 
The sophomore sits at 3-2 on the season in singles play overall and will return to action when the Flyers take on Illinois State at home on Feb. 20 at 4:30 p.m. at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg.
