DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team will hit the road for a doubleheader at Kentucky Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m. The contest will take place at Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Center.
The Flyers will look to win for the first time in 2021, entering the match 0-2 after falling twice to Louisville on Jan. 27.
The Wildcats are one of six teams in the SEC ranked in the top 25 and are currently ranked No. 21 in the country according to ITA and have opened the season 5-0 dropping just two points over all matches in 2021.
Kentucky also features three of the nation's top performers in singles play, with a trio in ITA's top 125 in Division I. Liam Draxl is currently 5-0 in singles play and is ranked 45
th in the nation in singles play. Alexandre Leblanc and Joshua Lapadat are also ranked, coming in at 114
th and 123
rd respectively.
