DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's soccer team finished up the 2021 preseason with a 6-2 win over Cedarville.

The Flyers were led by junior Kingsford Adjei and senior Jonas Fjeldberg who each tallied two goals on the night.

• Dayton opened the scoring in the second minute with a goal from Fjeldberg on the assist by Seth Antwi.
• The Flyers doubled their lead on a Toluwalase Oladeinbo goal in the 17^th minute.
• Adjei scored the next two goals in the 25^th and 30^th minutes.
• Josh Darius scored in the 41^st to make it 5-0.
• Cedarville managed the next two goals in the 44^th and 72^nd minute.
• Fjeldberg rounded out the scoring with the final goal in the 84^th minute.
• Dayton outshout Cedarville 27-9 and put 14 on target.

COACH'S COMMENTS
"The early part of this journey, we have to find our identity," said head coach Dennis Currier. "With that being said, there isn't a whole lot of time for that. Tonight was about finding our identity and playing the way the Flyers play which is high-end, high-tempo attacking soccer and we accomplished that tonight. We have to get ready very quickly for the conference because it's going to start here in two weeks."
