DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team will travel to Lexington for a doubleheader at No. 9/10 Kentucky Saturday afternoon. First pitch between the Flyers and Wildcats is set for 2 p.m. at UK's John Cropp Stadium.

SCOUTING KENTUCKY
No. 9/10 Kentucky (21-2) is riding a two-game win streak, having won the finale of a three-game series with No. 5 Florida last Sunday before hanging on for a 6-5 win over Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday night in the John Cropp Stadium home opener. Three of the Wildcats' everyday starters are hitting above .400 led by Kayla Kowalik with a .481 average on the strength of a team-best 39 hits. Autumn Humes (9-1) has put in 56.2 innings of work in the circle for UK, carrying a 1.91 ERA to go with a team-high 47 strikeouts.
ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (4-8) went 1-4 last weekend at the MTSU Invitational, picking up a 3-2 win over Illinois State to open the round-robin style tournament. The Flyers have three players hitting above .300 including freshman
Megan Ward who is hitting at .375 with a team-high 15 hits. Current Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week
Addy Bullis (2-2) leads UD in the circle with a 1.50 ERA over 28.0 innings of work and has tallied a team-best 25 strikeouts.
UP NEXT
The Flyers added a doubleheader Sunday against the Youngstown State Penguins. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. March 21 at UD Softball Stadium. Based on campus and local COVID-19 protocols and capacity restrictions, Dayton home athletic events will not be open to the general public. Limited seating is available to guests of Dayton student-athletes (names must be on a pass list for admission). Currently, visiting team fans are not permitted in/at the facility. Additionally, attendance at Dayton home athletic events will be socially distanced and fans are required to wear masks. These protocols will be reviewed as the season progresses.
