DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team will close out the regular season at home this weekend against Atlantic 10 foe Saint Louis. The Flyers and Billikens are set two play two matches, one each on March 26 and 27, at Frericks Center.

SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis (8-8, 6-2 A-10) split its matches against VCU last weekend at home, dropping a 3-0 decision to the Rams before defeating them 3-2. The Bilikens handed the Flyers their only loss of the season by a score of 3-2 on Feb. 13, Dayton's first match of the year. SLU's offense is led by Maya Taylor with 3.88 kills/set (4th A-10) and Emily Henken serves up 0.46 aces/set (3rd A-10). On defense, Emily Imo gets under 3.93 digs/set while Sara Daniels is the team's leading blocker with 0.68 blocks/set.
ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (9-1, 6-1 A-10) is currently enjoying a nine-match winning streak including back-to-back 3-0 wins at Duquesne last weekend. In fact, Dayton has not lost a set since its 3-1 win over Duquesne at home on Feb. 26. The Flyers' are led by three-time A-10 Player of the Week junior
Jamie Peterson with 4.46 kills/set (2nd A-10, 19th NCAA), a .333 hitting percentage (1st A-10) and 0.57 aces/set (1st A-10, 12th NCAA). Senior
Bridget Doherty is the team's primary setter with 10.52 assists/set (2nd A-10) and freshman
Alayna Yates is tough to get past at the net with 1.32 blocks/set (2nd A-10).
ATTENDANCE AT FRERICKS CENTER
Based on campus and local COVID-19 protocols and capacity restrictions, Dayton home athletic events will not be open to the general public. Limited seating is available to guests of Dayton student-athletes (names must be on a pass list for admission). Currently, visiting team fans are not permitted in/at the facility. Additionally, attendance at Dayton home athletic events will be socially distanced and fans are required to wear masks. These protocols will be reviewed as the season progresses.
ATLANTIC 10 CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2020-21 Atlantic 10 Volleyball Championship is scheduled to take place April 2-3 on the campus of the highest seeded team. Dayton, currently in first place in the west division, is still in the running to serve as host for the tournament depending on the outcome of this weekend's matches.
