Eight Teams Advance To Championship Weekend In Dayton To Compete For $1M

33-Point Contestant Jordan Sibert & Red Scare’s Trey Landers To Sign Autographs Prior To Semifinal Games On Aug. 1

DAYTON – After two weeks of record-setting attendance across its four regional sites and several memorable Elam Ending® finishes, TBT is set to kick off its Championship Weekend in Dayton Saturday afternoon at UD Arena. Alumni teams from Syracuse, Wichita State, Marquette, and Buffalo will be among the final eight teams competing live on ESPN from July 31-Aug. 3. The finals of TBT's 33-point contest, which features former Dayton alum and Red Scare guard Jordan Sibert, will take place in between the semifinals on Sunday, Aug. 1.

Sibert, along with Red Scare teammate Trey Landers, will be signing autographs on the concourse of UD Arena for all fans who purchased tickets from 11 am-12 pm on Sunday.

Of the eight teams left standing from TBT's original field of 64, they include two #1 seeds, a #2 seed, a #3 seed, two #5 seeds, and two #6 seeds:

-#1 Golden Eagles (Marquette alumni): Returning nearly the entire roster from last year's TBT's championship team the Golden Eagles, led by 39-year old Travis Diener and Jamil Wilson, have shown no signs of a championship hangover.
-#1 Sideline Cancer: The runner-ups in TBT 2020, Sideline Cancer continues to rely on the core of superstar Marcus Keene, former Indiana standout Maurice Creek, and one-time Orlando Magic forward Jamel Artis in hopes of finally lifting TBT's trophy and making a large donation towards pancreatic cancer research.
-#2 AfterShocks (Wichita State alumni): Willed through the Wichita Regional by the clutch shooting of Conner Frankamp and over 13,500 in attendance, the Wichita State alumni team is in TBT's quarterfinals for the first time in team history.
-#3 Boeheim's Army (Syracuse alumni): Pairing Syracuse alums and NBA first-round picks Chris McCullough and Malachi Richardson with former Overseas Elite stars D.J. Kennedy and DeAndre Kane, Boeheim's Army returns to TBT's quarterfinals for the first time since 2017.
-#5 The Money Team: Backed by legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather, The Money Team overcame an 18-point deficit to defeat Carmen's Crew in the third round of the Columbus Regional. TMT stars 5'6" point guard Jordon Crawford and former NBA players Xavier Munford and Malcolm Thomas.
-#5 Florida TNT: Composed of players entirely from the state of Florida, TNT is led by the high-scoring trio of former first-round pick Dominique Jones, Florida's Kenny Boynton, and Ole Miss's Chris Warren.
-#6 Blue Collar U (Buffalo alumni): A first-year TBT participant who blew through the competition in the Columbus Regional, Blue Collar U contains all the core pieces from the Bulls' team that upset Deandre Ayton's Arizona squad in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
-#6 Team 23: TBT's runner-up in 2015, Team 23's resurgence this year comes on the backs of former Chicago Bulls guard Walt Lemon and 2016 NCAA Champion Daniel Ochefu.

Quarterfinal games will be played Saturday, July 31, live on ESPN (12 pm & 2 pm) & ESPN2 (7 pm & 9 pm). The four remaining semifinalists will compete on Sunday, Aug 1 on ESPN (12 pm & 2:30 pm). TBT's $1 million, winner-take-all championship game will be Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 9 pm on ESPN.

The championship of TBT's 33-point Contest™ will take place Sunday at 2 pm ET on ESPN. Unlike a typical three-point contest that pits contestants against the clock as they circle the three-point arc, TBT's 33-Point Contest™will feature contestants squaring off in single-elimination bracket format, to see who can hit 11 three-pointers first, totaling 33 points. The eight finalists are:

-Conner Frankamp (AfterShocks)
-Dusty Hannahs (Team Arkansas)
-Ot Elmore (Herd That)
-Chris Moore (PrimeTime Players)
-Jordan Sibert (Red Scare)
-Jeff Ledbetter (The Money Team)
-Mike Daum (House of 'Paign)
-Omar Strong (B1 Ballers)
