DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team will finish a stretch of three matches on the road Tuesday at Louisville. The match is scheduled for 12 p.m. and will be held at Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Flyers opened the season on Saturday, falling twice to twelfth-ranked Kentucky, and will look to get into the win column in 2022 against Louisville. Senior
Steven Karl sits at 57 career singles victories, which has him in sole possession of tenth in program history, just seven behind Brad Nykiel and Jordan Benjamin.

Connor Bruce will also look to win his first dual match of the year after finishing 14-4 a season ago. Bruce had all but one decision come in the top singles flight, with the lone exception coming against Louisville.
Louisville returns seven seniors from last year's team and will be playing for the first time in 2022 against Dayton on Tuesday. Tin Chen is one of the seniors and played all 15 of his matches last season in No. 1 singles. In 2021 he was ranked as high as No. 71 among singles players in Division I, and he paired with Sergio Fernandez in doubles play to get as high as No. 89 as a pair.
Fabien Salle also returns after leading the Cardinals in singles victories, finishing 13-2 on his way to Second Team All-ACC honors, while Hernandez also returns after finishing 12-5 in 2021, earning him a spot on the All-ACC Third Team.
