CEDARVILLE, OHIO – The University of Dayton track team returned to action Friday, as they traveled to nearby Cedarville University to compete in the Cedarville Collegiate Open. In the first scored meet of the season, the Flyers took second overall among the nine schools competing.

Lauren Santiago won the 400m dash overall, posting a PR time of 1:01.13, earning 10 points for the Flyers with the victory.
Kelly McCloughan continued the momentum she created in the first two meets of the season, winning the 60m hurdles prelims and finals, running a 9.36 in the finals to earn Dayton another 10 points toward the team total.
Emilee Pham earned the Flyers an additional eight points in the pole vault, finishing in second place, clearing 3.09m.
Jayla Pruitt continued the Flyers dominance in the field events, winning the triple jump with a mark of 10.62m in the finals.

The throwers for the Flyers are in Findlay this weekend, with the event wrapping up on Saturday.
Hannah Lindenman set a new PR in the weight throw open division, winning the flight with a 16.33m toss.
Taylor Flight placed third in the elite weight throw division, tossing a 18.29m in the finals.

The Flyers will be back in action as a full unit next Saturday, Feb. 5, Â as they will be in Akron for the Akron Invitational.
