NEW ORLEANS, La. – University of Dayton track and field standouts Camryn Thompson and Raegan Ernst have been named All-Academic Athletes for the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Track & Field season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale and rank among the top 50 in their region in NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field. Thompson and Ernst are cousins and both played key roles in helping the Flyers capture the program's first-ever Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

In May, Thompson competed in the high jump at the NCAA East First Round in Lexington, Kentucky. The junior qualified with a record-setting performance at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, clearing 1.76m to break the school record and finish second.  The Powell, Ohio, native is a Communication major with a 3.38 GPA.  

Ernst capped her Dayton career by setting the school record in the heptathlon with 4,953 points at the A-10 Outdoor Championships, where she finished third. The senior also finished second in the 100m hurdles at the conference championships. The Dublin, Ohio, native graduated from UD in May with a 3.44 GPA and a degree in Health Science.
