Men's Tennis Wraps Up Fall Friday At ITA Regionals In Louisville

Matt DeMarco Advances To Round Of 32, Splitting His Two Matches On The Day

Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals on Saturday in Louisville. Senior Matt DeMarco split his two matches on the day for the Flyers.
 
DeMarco opened the Round of 64 with a match against Oskar Brostrom Poulsen of Middle Tennessee State, winning in straight sets 6-4, 7-5, moving him on to a second match on Friday in the Round of 32 against Thiago Pernas. The senior fell in his second match of the afternoon in straight sets, ending an impressive showing at the event.
 
Fellow senior Connor Bruce and juniors Ronit Hiryur and Erik Eliasson also competed early on Friday, with each falling in their only matches of the day.
 
The Flyers finish the fall after competing in three events throughout the semester, and will next compete in the spring.
