Men's Tennis Ends Run At ITA All-American Championships Sunday

Senior Connor Bruce Picks Up Win In His Lone Match

Box Score TULSA, Okla. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team finished up the ITA All-American Championships on Sunday afternoon, with seniors Connor Bruce and Matt DeMarco each playing in one match to conclude the event.
 
After starting the event 2-0 on Saturday, DeMarco took on Oklahoma's Justin Schlageter Sunday morning. The senior fell in the Round of 64 in straight sets 6-1, 7-5, ending his impressive run at the All-American Championships.
 
Bruce entered Sunday after falling in his opening match, sending him to a consolation match against Eshan Talluri of Texas. The senior found his groove on Day Two, winning in straight sets 7-6 (4), 6-1 to end his tournament with an .500 record.
 
The Flyers will end the fall season with the ITA Regionals Oct. 13-17 in Louisville.
