DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team is headed to St. Louis following this afternoon's practice to play two at Atlantic 10 foe Saint Louis this weekend. The Flyers and Billikens will get underway Friday night at 8 p.m. ET followed by a 3 p.m. ET match-up on Saturday. Both contests will be played at Chaifetz Pavilion.

ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (15-10, 9-3 A-10) is currently enjoying a three-match win streak and the Flyers have won seven of their last eight matches, all in A-10 Play. UD's offense is led by sophomore
Lexie Almodovar with 3.89 kills/ser (1st A-10), 4.51 points/set (1st A-10) and 0.42 aces/set (4th A-10) while junior
Amelia Moore carries the team's best hitting percentage of .349 (2nd A-10). On defense, Moore is a beast at the net with 134 total blocks, second most in the nation, to average 1.40 blocks/set (2nd A-10). As a team, the Flyers rank third in all of Division I with 237.5 total blocks and second in the league with 17.09 points/set, a .220 hitting percentage, 2.47 blocks/set and 1.77 aces/set.
ABOUT SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis (13-11, 5-7 A-10) started the season a perfect 4-0 in conference games but has gone 1-7 since Oct. 4. Most recently, SLU took on league-leading Loyola Chicago Tuesday, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Ramblers on the road. The Billikens combine for 2.21 aces/set (1st A-10) led by Carlie Rodgers (0.54, 1st A-10) and Irmak Gokcen (0.52, 2nd A-10). Emily Henken leads SLU with 2.96 kills/set (8th A-10) and Rodgers serves as the team's primary passer, averaging 4.89 digs/set (2nd A-10).
SERIES STUFF
Dayton Leads, 44-17
Saint Louis and Dayton have been going head-to-head since 1978 with the Flyers holding the 44-17 lead in the all-time series. In their home-and-away series last season, Dayton claimed 3-1 wins in both meetings. The Flyers have won five straight against the Billikens.
RPI RANKINGS
In the NCAA's first Rating Percentage Index (RPI) through games on Oct. 23, Dayton ranked 135th according to NCAA.com. Saint Louis is ranked 228th.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton played the first of its three road matches this week at Duquesne on Tuesday, taking down the Dukes in straight sets at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. Sophomore Brooke Smith led the Flyer attack with nine kills while sophomore
Lexie Almodovar got under a match-high 12 digs in the win for the UD.

Tim Horsmon is in his 14th season overall, and ninth since 2007, as head coach of the Flyers in 2022. His record at Dayton is 338-100 and his career win-loss mark sits at 514-264 in 24 seasons as a head coach. Horsmon is the program's winningest coach after surpassing R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins 1970-79.
• Over the last 14 seasons (2009-2022), the Flyers have recorded a 177-17 (.912) mark in regular season Atlantic 10 Conference play, including a perfect 14-0 mark in 2016, 2015 and 2012, a 15-0 record in 2010 and a 16-0 mark in 2021. • During the 2014 season, Dayton surpassed the 1,000-win mark as a program to become just the 13th NCAA DI team to attain that level of success. The Flyers entered the 2022 season ranked 12th all-time in the Division I record book with an overall program tally of 1,193-607 (.663) over 52 seasons (1970).
