MECHANICSVILLE, Va. – The University of Dayton women's cross country team finished fifth at the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships Saturday.  Loyola won the meet with 54 points, followed by La Salle (74 points), George Mason (92), George Washington (105) and Dayton (113).  Richmond was sixth with 119 points.

Flyer junior Abby Carter led UD with  10th place finish, earning her All-Atlantic 10 honors.  Carter covered the 5K course in 17:31.9.  She was followed by grad student Emily Sreenan (16th, 17:51.6), freshman Marissa Prichett (27th, 18:05.7), junior Zoe Chappelle (29th, 18:08.0), senior Melissa Weidner (31st, 18:11.5), senior Angela Braga (38th, 18:18.2), junior Jenna Eggleston (43rd, 18:22.7), sophomore Justine Smith (52nd, 18:34.2), sophomore Maria Steinke (72nd, 18:53.9), and senior Ellie Tighe (100th, 19:20.7).

Dayton is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 12 at the NCAA Regionals in Terre Haute, Ind.
